Welcome to BARK

At BARK, we are obsessed with making dogs (and the people who love them) happy. If that means giving belly scratches until we get carpal tunnel or listening to squeaky toys until our ears bleed, that's cool.

We span entertaining products, experiences, and content. Everything we create is informed by the data from over 38 million products shipped, 54 office dogs, and too many poop jokes to count.

BARK is creating a brand for a generation of people who love their dogs like children.

The idea that started it all, BarkBox is a monthly subscription service of all-natural treats and toys designed around a fun theme to bring happiness to hundreds of thousands of dogs each month (and fix the relationship between dogs and the postman. Huzzah.)

We started BarkShop as a re-order convenience for BarkBox, and it grew into an entire store, now including our own BARK designed toys and treats. Yep, we make our own products too, like The Dognald and Hillary Kitten! No matter your pawlitical party, we're for every Americanine.

BarkPost is our massive media outlet for all things dog. We create original (and heart-warming, and goofy) content supported by dog-loving advertisers like Subaru, American Express, 1 Hotels, Procter & Gamble, and Merial's NexGard. And we often do it by partnering with celebridogs across the web. If dogs could read, BarkPost would be their homepage.

Too many events say "No Dogs Allowed," so we throw our own parties. BarkLive hosts events like dog-jogs, yappy hours in biergartens, and more for dogs and their parents. They range from intimate "Open Bark Nights" in our pawffice to hosting 8,000 people and their pooches for BarkFest in Brooklyn.

We believe that all dogs deserve to be happy.

That's why we support thousands of rescues, shelters, and nonprofits with donations, projects, and apps like BarkBuddy (think Tinder, but for adoptable dogs).

BARK was founded in 2012 by Matt Meeker, Carly Strife, and Henrik Werdelin. We're based in Chinatown, Poo York City.
