BEHIND THE DESIGN
Every good BARK product starts with a weird idea and a very patient team. Derek Rippe, alongside his talented colleagues Zack Massos and Haley Steele, started designing Licksters by asking a deceptively simple question: what does it take to actually satisfy a dog, not just distract one for a while?
The goal on day one was 20 minutes of engagement. The team tested (and re-tested) and perfected countless versions of this toy and treat system, and somewhere along the way, blew past their own goal. Dogs are now clocking closer to 40 minutes of trance-level bliss. Overachievers, all of them!
