How do I transition?
Your dog's stomach didn't sign up for sudden changes (even good ones), so here's our 7- to 10-day plan for switching to Bark in the Belly without any digestive drama:
Days 1 to 3: Feed 3/4 of their current food and add 1/4 of the new food (think of it as a gentle introduction)
Days 4 to 5: Serve half current food and half new food (now we're getting somewhere)
Days 6 to 8: Feed 3/4 new food and 1/4 previous food (almost there!)
Days 9 to 10: Serve only the new food (victory lap time!)
Remember: your dog is the ultimate judge here. If they need a slower transition, that's totally fine—some dogs like to take their time with life changes.

Every dog is different (shocking, we know), so we've created a handy feeding calculator on our website that takes into account your dog's weight, age, and whether they're the type who thinks every walk is a marathon or every nap is an Olympic sport. Just plug in your pup's details and we'll tell you exactly how much to serve.
What if my dog is a picky eater?
Ah, the discerning diner! Some dogs have refined palates and strong opinions about their meals (we respect that). If your dog is giving you the "is this really the best you can do?" look, try mixing in some Bark in the Belly Toppers or their favorite Bark in the Belly Treats to make mealtime more exciting. Sometimes even the pickiest eaters just need a little extra convincing that dinner is worth their time.

How does Super Chewer think about durability?
For Super Chewer, durability isn't the point: fun is. For some dogs, having fun requires durable toys. We're committed to creating toys that challenge dogs, entertain them, and facilitate wonderful shared adventures with their humans.
When we start designing a toy for a Super Chewer, we know a few things already: the dog is strong, the dog is determined, and the dog loves to chomp on stuff. And their human is probably looking for something that can withstand their dog's love and affection better than conventional fabric toys.
So we're looking for materials and shapes that will be robust during play with determined dogs without compromising our commitment to fun.
The point isn't to make an indestructible toy. If we wanted to make a toy that no dog could ever destroy, we'd just ship a bunch of bricks. But that wouldn't be fun.
Instead of aiming for "indestructible," we work to create assortments of toys that cover a range of different durabilities (and other characteristics!) so that we can tailor each box to the individual dog's needs. A Super Chewer toy shouldn't last forever. But it should last for as long as your dog wants it to. Because that's fun.
What size should I get for my dog?
We offer 3 sizes. All sizes are the same price, and you can switch sizes at any time.
Is BarkBox approved for puppies and different dog breeds?
Yes, BarkBox offers hours of dog fun, regardless of your pup’s age, breed, or size. For puppies, you can always size up later by contacting our Happy team at [email protected].
What is the difference between BarkBox and Super Chewer?
BarkBox toys should last long enough for your pup to enjoy it! These toys tend to be more fluffy, squeaky, and cuddly.
Super Chewer is going to be more for your dog that may be a heavy chewer that needs more durable toys. We work to create assortments of toys that cover a range of different durabilities (and other characteristics). A Super Chewer toy might not last forever, but it should last for as long as your dog wants it to. Because that's fun.

How much does a BarkBox cost?
Prices for subscriptions start as low as $24 per month! We offer 1-, 6-, and 12-month plans.
How can you cancel a BarkBox?
If your pup isn't happy with their BarkBox, we’ll work with you to make it right. You may disable the auto-renewal on your multi-month subscription commitment at any time from your account dashboard here.
If you would like to end your subscription commitment early, please contact our Happy team. Please note, however, that your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current subscription term.
